Leo Lyman Finlinson, age 78, died January 28, 1995 at Oak City.
Born July 23, 1916 at Oak City to Leo and Lydia Lyman Finlinson. Married Sarah Church September 12, 1941 in the Manti LDS Temple. Graduated from USU with degree in Agriculture Science and Education. Taught school in Enterprise, Topaz, Oak City and Delta. World War II veteran. Active LDS Church member serving in positions including Bishop, Stake Sunday School. Eight year Oak City Mayor. Millard County Planning and Zoning Commission and Swimming Pool Committee. Beautiful tenor voice. Sang in choir and barbershop quartet.Survived by wife: Oak City; son and daughters: Mrs. Robert (Marie) Siciliano, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Douglas (Kathy) Smith, Delta; Mrs. John (Sylvia) Stevens, Orem; Sara Rae Burraston, Springville; Mrs. Milton (Robyn) Mayhew, St. George; Joe and Trudy Finlinson, Provo; Mrs. Mark (Meladee) Maggos, Alton, Illinois; 16 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren; sisters: Mrs. Ferrin (Julia) Bliss, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Rymal (Isobell) Williams, Cedar City; brother, Richard and LaVon Finlinson, Mesa, Arizona. Preceded in death by son, Mason, brother, Grant, sisters: Madie, Virginia, and Clara.
Funeral services Tuesday January 31, 1995 11 a.m., Oak City 1st Ward Chapel. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, 190 So Center, Delta Monday 7-8 p.m. and at church on Tuesday 10-10:45 a.m. Burial Oak City Cemetery.
